I lied. I want flowers.

I may be a terrible person . . . possibly.

This year, I suggested to my fiance that we not get each other anything for Valentine's Day since we're saving our pennies for the wedding and honeymoon. So we'll go to a movie and get a nice dinner, and that's enough. It was my idea, so of course I'm fine with it. Right?

Well, technically, yes . . . I am fine with it. But I can't help but hope that he won't listen to me. I can't help but hope that he'll roll up on V-Day with a nice bouquet of flowers. That's all I want. Just flowers. I guess, underneath it all, I'm just as much of a girly-girl as anyone else.

Just don't tell my fiance.

1800flowers and Twilight? Yes, please!

OK, boys. They say that there are a lot of compromises in relationships, and this happens to be two of them combined into one. You may not understand why--and it's not really important that you do--but ladies love two things: flowers and the Twilight series.

I was one of the first to join the loyal following of the book series. I waited in anticipation of the next books, along with all of the tweens, and I wasn't ashamed. Then, my loyal boyfriend read the books and discussed them with me. And then, he saw each of the movies and discussed them with me. And you know what? That's love.

And guys might not understand why girls love flowers, but we do. We always will. End of story. So when you navigate to 1800flowers.com (rated best by MSNBC for price transparency and honest pricing policies) for those Valentine's Day buds, go for something that combines two of her loves and order a Twilight Flowers Poster Bundle. One of the bundles even comes with the option to preorder the "New Moon" DVD. Come on, you really can't go wrong with that.

Just remember, she'll always love you more than Edward . . . and Jacob.
